4/21 It Happened to Nancy by an ANONYMOUS TEENAGER
pages 3 to 31 (quote on page 6)
Quote:
Collin confided in me that he had a sister, Betsy Mae, who had asthma also; that's how he'd known what to do. He said he'd done for me exactly what he would have wanted someone to do to Betsy Mae if, God forbid, something like this ever happened to her.
Reaction:
I cannot believe how generous Collin was to Nancy, that was like so thoughtful especially to a person who has asthma. I cannot even believe it at all and I really mean it, for at least he knew what to do because his sister also has asthma just like Nancy. But I just hope that it doesn't ever happen agian to Nancy or ever happens to Betsy, if it does it may be worse or else. Well I am just glad nothing else happened and that is for sure.
4/22 SAME pages 32 to 60 (quote on page 26)
Quote:
They cleaned up the hamburger; then they all left their calling cards on the floor. Mom wasn't amused when she stepped on them in her bare feet. I was! I fell on the floor laughing, which is funny in itself, because I honesty hadn't thought I would ever laugh again.
Reaction:
I cannot that Nancy calls Mickey's and his friends' poop calling cards, it is just like wierd or something but I am not someone to judge for but whatever she wants to call it let her. But I am not that sure but isn't her mom supposed to wear like ummmmm slippers when she gets out of bed because there are like so many germs on the floor that she can get sick of. Well sometimes I just don't get adults.
4/23 SAME pages 61 to 91 (quote on page 73)
Quote:
After lunch Mom took me for my appointment, and after the usual thumping and stuff, Dr. Talbert said he wanted me to go directly to the hospital.
Reaction:
I wonder what is really happening to her. Did Nancy get a disease or what because I really want to find out quickly, but it may take long cause the book is so long. Well I am gonna try to find out quickly by reading it fast for sure. But anyways it is really getting better by the page and not by the minute.
4/24 SAME pages 92 to 122 (quote on page 110-111)
Quote:
The book says that about 30 percent of people who have AIDS are diagnosed in their twenties, WOW! that means most were infected in their teens. It also says that AIDS is spreading faster and faster among kids, who don't even dream it could happen to them, and that they are the most at-risk of all people.
Reaction:
I couldn't believe that AIDS can be passed around much faster around with kids than with adults, and it kind of sounds wierd because l always thought that AIDS was something like the chicken pox. I never even knew that AIDS could like actually kill someone because it is like so, so, so weird. Well I really never ever want to get that diseasefor sure.
4/25 SAME pages 123 to 154 (quote on page 150)
Quote:
I had no idea I was so weak. I actually had to be helped on and off the plane.
Reaction:
I couln't even imangine how that must of have had been for her. It is like so so bad for her because the viruse AIDS is like taking away or draining out all of her energy. Nancy must really feel so bad for her self but the problem was that it all started from that kid Collin who tried to rape her and gave her the viruse! Well for so far I just hope that she gets better and doesn't die from it because it is way to sad.
